closing the window on history

one of the few remaining windows at hamilton's camco plant. about three quarters of the building is toast, as the wrecking ball continues to swing. the former westinghouse operation was built in 1912 and became camco in 1982. camco spent $75 million dollars, and moved its fridge and stove manufacturing to the city after closing its weston, ontario plant. close to 2200 people worked here in 1999. McMaster University will build a high tech innovation centre on the site.
